Looking back at your preliminary task (the
continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression
from it to full product?
When we had done the preliminary project we
had learned how to do the 180
degree rule. This was done to ensure when we filmed our opening sequence we had
known what angle to keep the camera and to ensure we knew which side to film
from and how to cross over to film on the other side. We had done practice
shots of shot/reverse shot. This helped me learn that we have to film the whole
project twice in order for the film product to look professional. This was don’t
to ensure there were no jump cuts in the middle of a conversation.
We also learned how to keep the camera focused when we did a close up. This was essential as we had chosen to do various close ups for out opening sequence therefore I found this very useful. Also by doing the preliminary project we learned that when a dialogue was said it had to be said clearly and loudly even though we could do a voice over later on.
